Peace Park

The Riverfront Peace Park features many historical, important objects and written histories from Appleton's past.

Some of what is featured here is:

  • A piece of steel from the Twin Towers after the events of 9/11. It was donated to the town as a sign of gratitude.

  • A storyboard detailing the history of the Gleneagles Resort and Hotel, as well as Bowater's Pulp & Paper Company, Murphy & Steele, and the Appleton-Glenwood Ferry Crossing

  • Gander riverboat
